- The project will deliver five affordable homes for seniors who need housing support.
- Financial support will be provided from the Miles Government’s Housing Investment Fund and the Goondiwindi Regional Council.
The latest project made possible by the Queensland’s Housing Investment Fund will support older residents in the Goondiwindi region.
The Miles Government is working with Goondiwindi Regional Council to redevelop Casa Mia, a vacant aged care facility in Inglewood, 90 kilometres east of Goondiwindi.
The project will be supported with funding from the Miles Government’s Housing Investment Fund and from the Goondiwindi Regional Council.
The development will provide housing for seniors who are still able to enjoy supported independent living and want to remain in the local Inglewood community.
Plans feature fully accessible, modern and energy efficient one and two-bedroom homes.
Work is forecast to commence on the project in mid-2024, with tenants to start moving in during the first half of 2025.
