Old building makes way 23 homes in Cairns

  • Demolition has begun on an old building to make way for new social homes as part of the state’s Big Housing Build
  • The Palaszczuk Government is investing $8.5 million in the development which is being delivered in partnership with Access Community Housing Company

 

The Palaszczuk Government is partnering with Access Community Housing Company to deliver 23 new social homes in Earlville. 

 

The $8.5 million development will replace 14 aged dwellings owned by Access Community Housing Company with fit-for-purpose accommodation.

 

Demolition is currently underway to make way for construction next year.

 

Access Community Housing Company supported the previous tenants to relocate to suitable alternative accommodation ahead of the demolition.
